Fellowship Program

The overall objective of our program is to educate physicians in the broad field of cardiovascular disease which includes a major emphasis on research as well as clinical training. We invite you to view our fellowship letter. The University of Florida has a wealth of opportunities and an internationally recognized staff to support the trainee in areas of investigation. The University of Florida hospitals serve as a major referral center for much of north and central Florida as well as south Georgia. Our major teaching facilities include our university hospital (Shands Hospital) and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). All patients in these hospitals have a full-time faculty member as their attending physician.

Clinical/Research fellowship appointments are for three years.

Division conferences are held daily that are of interest to medical housestaff. These include the cardiac catheterization and angiography conference, cardiac grand rounds, vascular disease seminar, and several conferences which focus on current research being conducted in the division.

We use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for all applicants.
